The Eastern Railway Station is the oldest and largest station in the city. Considering its technical design, it was regarded as the most modern station of the 19th century.

The People's Stadium was designed by Karoly David, a Hungarian architect who also designed major stadiums in Rome and Melbourne. It is the largest stadium in the country with a capacity of around 80,000.
